Steve Harvey Mocks Leaked Email, Says 'I Can't Write'

Steve Harvey is addressing the scandal surrounding the leaked email he sent to his staff back in May.

The 60-year-old talk show host attended the NBCUniversal portion of the 2017 TCA Summer Press Tour to promote his new daytime talk show Steve on Thursday (August 3) at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.

During the discussion, Steve joked about the leaked emails he sent to his staff back in May where he wrote that he did not want to be “ambushed” by his staff talking to him anymore.

“I learned two things from that email. One, I can’t write. And two, I should never write,” Steve said during the panel. “It wasn’t that big of a deal for me until I saw it on CNN. I’m a congenial guy.”

Steve went on to explain that the one of his former Chicago staffers leaked the email after he was not offered a job when Steve moved his new show to Los Angeles.

Eva Longoria Gets 193 Out of 200 Points for 'Family Feud' Fast Money - Watch Now!

Eva Longoria got one of the highest scores during “Fast Money” on Family Feud that we’ve ever seen!

The actress appeared on the latest episode of Celebrity Family Feud and she got 193 out of the 200 points needed to win the final round. Her partner Amaury Nolasco, who went second, only needed to get seven points for the team to win $25,000 for charity and it of course happened.

“If you don’t get seven points, you’re going to go down in history as one of the worst Family Feud players of all time,” host Steve Harvey joked before Amaury had to give his answers.

Also on Eva‘s team were Ana Ortiz, Justina Machado, and Wilmer Valderrama.

Steve Harvey Explains Leaked Email to Staff with New Rules About Approaching Him to Talk

Steve Harvey allegedly wrote an email to his staff where he made a list of rules, forbidding his staff from approaching him or entering his dressing room without knocking and asking first.

Now, Steve is speaking out about why he wrote the email.

“I could not find a way to walk from the stage to my dressing room, to sit in my makeup chair, to walk from my dressing room to the stage or to just sit and have lunch without somebody just walking in,. I’ve always had a policy where, you know, you can come and talk to me — so many people are great around here, but some of them just started taking advantage of it,” the 60-year-old talk show host told ET.

“Look man, I’m in my makeup chair, they walk in the room. I’m having lunch, they walk in, they don’t knock. I’m in the hallway, I’m getting ambushed by people with friends that come to the show and having me sign this and do this. I just said, ‘Wait a minute.’ And in hindsight, I probably should’ve handled it a little bit differently,” he continued.

Steve Harvey Apologizes for Jokes About Asian Men

Steve Harvey has offered an apology for anyone he offended with his jokes about Asian men.

Last week on his talk show, Steve was doing a segment about dating and was reading titles of dating books: “Dating for Under a Dollar: 301 Ideas” and “How to Date a White Woman: A Practical Guide for Asian Men.”

“That’s one page. ’Excuse me, do you like Asian men?’ ‘No.’ ‘Thank you,’” Steve said. Steve was laughing at his own jokes, but they were not well received.

Steve took to Instagram to apologize, saying, “the humor was not meant with any malice or disrespect whatsoever.”
