Patrick Stewart Cuddles His New Foster Pit Bull in Most Adorable Videos Ever

Patrick Stewart welcomed a new foster pit bull named Ginger into his home, and it resulted in one of the greatest friendships there ever was.

The 76-year-old Logan actor took to Instagram earlier this week to share videos of himself bonding with the pup.

“Thanks to @ASPCA and @WagsandWalks, @madameozell and I are finally fostering our 1st pitbull!” he captioned the first video in which he gets his very first slobbery kiss from Ginger (below). “Meet Ginger. I’m in LOVE. #AdoptDontShop #pitbullsofinstagram #pitbulls.”

Patrick then shared a clip of himself and Ginger spending some time together at the pool (“You pushed me in the pool, Ginger!”), followed by a video in which he allows Ginger to lay on the couch to nap while he pets her lovingly, and, just because it’s cute, a video featuring Ginger sneezing.

Patrick Stewart Is Becoming a US Citizen to Make a Political Difference

Patrick Stewart has been a British citizen for his entire life but he’s now applying for US citizenship!

The 76-year-old Star Trek actor revealed that he wants to become an official US citizen so that he can make a difference politically.

While making an appearance on The View, Patrick explained that it’s the only way he feels he can truly oppose Donald Trump.

“You know, we have our own problems. We have Brexit. But I’m not a (US) citizen. However, there is, maybe it’s the only good thing as the result of this election, I am now applying for citizenship. Because I want to be an American, too,” he said.

Patrick continued, “Because all of my friends in Washington said there’s only one thing you can do: fight, fight, oppose, oppose. But I can’t do it because I’m not a citizen.”

Patrick Stewart Announces He's Retiring from 'X-Men,' Says He & Hugh Jackman Cried After Watching 'Logan'

Patrick Stewart has announced that his days of playing X-Men‘s Professor Charles Xavier are now behind him.

The 76-year-old English actor said the last time fans will see him take on the role is in the upcoming film Logan.

“A week ago, Friday night in Berlin, the three of us sat, watching the movie,” Patrick shared at a SiriusXM Town Hall, where he was joined by his Logan co-star Hugh Jackman as well as director and co-writer James Mangold. “And I was so moved by it, much more moved than I had been the first time of seeing it.”

He added, “Maybe it was the company of these two guys, but the movie ended and – this is an admission – but at one point [Hugh] reached out, and he took my hand in those last few minutes, and I saw him go [mimes wiping a tear from his eye] like this, and then I realized I had just done the same thing. Then, the movie ended… and we were going to be taken up on stage, but not until the credits were over.”

“So, we had some time to sit there and, as I sat there I realized there will never be a better, a more perfect, a more sensitive, emotional, and beautiful way of saying au revoir to Charles Xavier than this movie,” Patrick explained. “So, I told [Hugh] that same evening, ‘I’m done too. It’s all over.’”

Don’t miss Logan when it hits theaters on March 3! In the meantime, watch the trailer here.
