Blake Lively Reveals She was Sexually Harassed by a Makeup Artist

Blake Lively is opening up about her own “terrifying” experience with sexual harassment.

The 30-year-old actress revealed that she was filmed and sexually harassed by a former makeup artist on set of a past project.

“He was saying things inappropriately, insisting on putting my lipstick on with his finger,” Blake told the LA Times. “I was sleeping one night on location and I woke up and he was filming me. I was clothed, but it was a very voyeuristic, terrifying thing to do.”

When she told the producers what happened, they did nothing.

Blake says she then went to a lawyer about the sexual harassment compliant, resulting in the makeup artist being removed from the project, but did not receive any other punishment.

“Our unit production manager wrote him a letter of recommendation because nobody wanted there to be bad blood,” Blake said.

When asked about Harvey Weinstein earlier this week, Blake said that it’s “important that women are furious right now.”

Wow, what a privileged woman! That was terrifying to her? Seriously? You know what was terrifying? Getting raped as a 16 year old – THAT was terrifying. All these “horrible” stories are ridiculous.

I’m pretty sure that getting raped at 16 is a lot more terrifying than getting peaked at or filmed asleep. Or even the tushy squeeze. They still have a right to lay that smack down on these perverts aholes. I do have to say that there will be some accounts that come off as self serving. It is inevitable. The attention whores will start to come out so they can get a little pop in their careers. Most will be genuine, some will be questionable.

    people makeup everything these days!!

This idiot proudly worked for Woody Allen, but wants to speak on perverts. LMAO. Can you get any more perverted than marrying your own daughter?

  • soggybiscuit

Woody apologist, you are an enabler

  • Take_a_seat

If you want to make a change name him. You have nothing to lose now when everyone is opening up!

Thats messed up! And creepy. Although im pissed at people who work with woody allen, i hope these stories will produce change for managers dealing with this. Instead of brushing it off, take it seriously.

I mean yeah, sexually assaulting your 7 year-old stepdaughter – oh wait, that was him too!

Woody Allen is the scum of the earth and there is NO excuse for working with him after Dylan Farrow wrote Hollywood an open letter in the New York Times in 2014. Even if you’re too young to remember what “allegedly” (definitely) happened to Dylan (Miley, Selena, Emma Stone, Blake… they were all allowed to actually be kids and were likely sheltered from the story at the time) she REMINDED everyone in a very public way and she was ignored. It’s despicable.

Just because worse has happened to someone else doesn’t mean it can’t be terrifying in its own context. Any abuse, to any degree, is hurtful and wrong. By your logic, none of us should be allowed to voice our pain ever because there will ALWAYS be someone who has had it worse. Speaking out is how you stop the abuse from getting to the extreme level, for yourself or someone else. (Yes Blake Lively is very privileged, but abuse/harassment can happen to anyone.)
